Sports Data recorded from 1998 – 2001, participation down by 7% for
baseball, 9% for basketball, 4% for football, with an increase by 73%
for skateboarding, 57% for artificial rock climbing, 38% for
wakeboarding, 30% for paintball, 25% for snowboarding and 19% for
snowshoeing.

to the American Heart Association, daily enrollment in Physical
Education classes has dropped from 42% in 1991 to 29% in 1999.
