RENEW,  RECHARGE,  REVIVE  ...

PTPers’ Challenge is a straight-up call to action for each and every one of us. This 10 – week endeavor encourages citizens to develop sustainable, healthy and globally local exercise routines, eating habits and efficient lifestyles. The unique team format promotes competitive teamwork toward the common goal of living healthier lives, not just for themselves, but also for the environment. The program, written, directed and produced by PTPers.com, is inspired by another program called Lighten-Up Iowa that was created and conducted by the Iowa State Games. Thank you Iowa! Individuals are instructed to in-list teams of up to 8 people. Team, individual, tandem and quad divisions will be recognized in 11 areas of achievement. There are also 6 specified age brackets that further categorize competitors into a more level playing field. Please see rules below. Good Vibrations!

1. Lighten-up. %Weight loss. (Due to healthy diet & physical activity)

Each member of the team submits an "honor" weight to the team captain. Captains total the team weight and submit it. "Honor" weigh-ins will be repeated at midway point and final date. Winning teams are those that lose the highest percentage of weight over the 10 week program while maintaining a healthy BMI.

2. Warm-up. Accumulated aerobic activity. (Logged in miles & minutes)

Teams track miles & minutes based on activity performed (see conversion chart in the PTPers’ Handbook.) Winning teams are those that logged the most stats over the 10 week program. Captains total the team stats and report them monthly.

3. Tighten-up. Lean Body Mass % Gain. (Due to healthy diet and exercise.)

Each member of the team submits an "honor" lean body mass % to the team captain. Captains average the team’s percentage, complete the team entry form and submit it. "Honor" lean body mass percentages will be repeated at midway point and final date. Winning teams are those that gain the highest percentage of lean body mass over the 10 week program.

4. Climb-up. Accumulated outdoor aerobic activity. (Logged in miles & minutes)

Teams track miles & minutes based on activity performed (see conversion chart in the PTPers Handbook.) Winning teams are those that logged the most outdoor stats over the 10 week program. Captains total the team outdoor stats and report them monthly.

5. Lift-up. Accumulated mass lifted. (Logged in pounds)(Bigger is better)

Teams track pounds lifted based on activity performed by resistance training. Winning teams are those that logged the most pounds hoisted over the 10 week program. Captains tally-up the team pounds lifted and report them monthly.

6. Wii-Up. Accumulated Wii points. Champions for each fit focus. (Bigger is better)

Teams track points accumulated during Wii Challenges. Winning teams are those that logged the most points awarded over the 10 week program. Captains tally-up the team points earned and report them monthly. Contestants must have passed all areas of fitness in-order to qualify for this award. The general concept here is total wellness.

7. KO. Power = Work / Active Time in Seconds. (Bigger is better)

Teams track work amassed on activities performed by resistance training and the duration of those work sessions not including rest time. Winning teams are those that logged the most work per second over the 10 week program. All participants must log at-least two 30 minute sessions to qualify for this category. Captains tally-up the team KO and report it monthly. Wii points tracks this for you.

8. TKO. Endurance = Work / Total Time in Seconds. (Bigger is better)

Teams track work amassed on activities performed by resistance training and the duration of those work sessions including rest time. Winning teams are those that logged the most work per second over the 10 week program. All participants must log at-least two 30 minute sessions to qualify for this category. Captains tally-up the team TKO and report it monthly. Simply record start and closing times.

9. P³. Performance Per Pound = Work / Body Weight (lbs). (Bigger is better)

Teams track pounds lifted based on activity performed by resistance training. Winning teams are those that logged the most pounds hoisted/per pound of bodyweight over the 10 week program. Captains tally-up the team totals and report them monthly.

Work (Real Volume)(RV) = Mass Moved (resistance) x ROM (can be more than 3600 if it is multi-joint) x Repetitions x Quality (0-1) (balance rating) x Difficulty/Coordination (1-2stars) (# of limbs supporting/dyna discs/BOSU/balance board/wobble board/8 board/slide brd). Remember additional credit given for coordination tools (plus .2x for 8Board) (plus .3x for dyna discs, BOSU, and rocker boards) (plus .5x for wobble board)

10. E³. Energetic Efficiency Estimate = Pulse + BMI + % Body Fat. (Lower is better)

Teams tracks starting and ending E³ calculations. Winning teams are those that logged the greatest % reduction over the 10 week program. No additional points are rewarded to those under healthy recommendations (Ex. - Men below 5% body fat are listed at 5). Captains tally-up the team totals and report them monthly. (This is the Green Factor.)

11. F² (Flow Frequency) = E³ - P³. (Lower is better)

Teams tracks starting and ending F² calculations. Winning teams are those that logged the greatest % reduction over the 10 week program. No additional points are rewarded to those under healthy recommendations (Ex. - Men below 5% body fat are listed at 5). Captains tally-up the team totals and report them monthly.

In addition to #11 Champs, the individual with the lowest ending F² score is also awarded Wii-Man  World Crown!
